About the Center for Early Childhood Education
CECE provides a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. CECE's active parent association meets regularly to plan family-oriented events and fundraisers. Students and researchers are welcome at CECE, which features observation rooms that are available to parents as well. We have a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We want your child to have fun learning and playing at CECE.
Philosophy
We believe that children learn best in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and child-centered. Our teachers provide daily experiences that stimulate cognitive, social, and emotional growth and development in each individual.
The programs provided by the Center for Early Childhood Education have been carefully planned to meet the goals, expectations, and policies of the University of California, the California Department of Education-Child Development Division, the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, and CECE's staff and parents.
Mission Statement
The mission of UCR CECE is to enable parents to reach their educational and professional goals and to support children to reach their full potential in all developmental areas. CECE supports the university’s teaching, research, and community service goals by providing the children of students, staff, faculty, and community members with a healthy, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Children are nurtured, encouraged, and supported by our staff to enable them to reach the next level in their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
