  • Application Process

UCR students, staff and faculty, as well as children from the local community, are eligible to enroll their children in the Center for Early Childhood Education in one of these age categories:

    • Full Day Infant Program: 5 Days (M-F)
    • Full Day Toddler Program: 5 Days (M-F)
    • Preschool Program: 5 Days (M-F), 3 Days (M,W,F),  2 Days (T,Th)

    * Tuition for children who transition to a higher ratio group will go into effect on the first day of the following month.

Services are provided for children two months old through Preschool age. Priority for enrollment will be given to UCR student, staff, and faculty families.

An application fee of $35 is required and non-refundable when submitting an application. An application fee is NOT required for UCR Students. The Center for Early Childhood Education cannot accept cash or credit card payments for service. After receiving the application fee, if your child cannot be admitted to CECE, his/her name will be placed on the Waiting List and you will be assigned an application number. If you have mailed this application, you will be called with that information.  Applications can be found on this page.

You will be notified when there is an opening available. All applications must be updated once each year (by June) in order for your application to remain on the waitlist.

Age ranges are approximate. Children will be placed in the appropriate program based on age, development level, and CECE's operational consideration.

  • Registration Process

At the time a space is accepted, the parent will be asked to come in-person to pick up a registration packet and schedule an intake interview. At that time, a non-refundable yearly registration fee of $60 will be assessed.

  • Additional Information

Any new families as of September 1, 2014, that have both student and employee status will be charged the STUDENT SUBSIDIZED FEE.

State funding assistance is available; interested families should complete an application for services.

After UCR-affiliated families have registered, the Center for Early Childhood Education is open to the public as space is available.
