Eligibility, Enrollment & Rates

UCR students, staff and faculty — as well as families from the local community — are welcome to apply. Children are enrolled in one of the following programs based on age and availability:

• Full-Day Infant Program: 5 days (M-F)
• Full-Day Toddler Program: 5 days (M-F)
• Preschool Program: 5 days (M-F), 3 days (M/W/F) or 2 days (T/Th)

We serve children from two months old through preschool age. UCR student, staff and faculty families receive enrollment priority. If a spot isn't immediately available, your child's name will be added to our waitlist, and you'll receive an application number. All applications must be renewed annually by June to stay active on the waitlist.

A one-time, non-refundable $40 application fee is required. UCR students are exempt from this fee. Please note that CECE cannot accept cash or credit card payments for childcare services.

Tuition adjustments for children who move to a higher ratio group take effect on the first of the following month. Age ranges are approximate; placement is based on age, developmental level, and program capacity.

Once a space becomes available and you're ready to accept it, you'll come in to pick up a registration packet and schedule an intake interview. A non-refundable annual registration fee of $65 applies at that time.

New families who hold both student and employee status will be charged the student scholarship rate.

Once UCR-affiliated families have registered, any remaining spaces are open to the broader community.
