CECE is open 12 months a year, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. All University holidays are observed, including Winter Break.

Closure Dates

The closure days may be required to cut costs and save the campus money. Requests for fee adjustments will not be considered.

Note: CECE is closed on all campus holidays.

Fees

Fees are collected each month based on the child's age and whether the UCR-affiliated parent is a student, a staff member, a member of the faculty, or a community member. Students may be eligible for scholarships during the academic year, depending on their family income. Applications are reviewed each fall. Scholarship priority is given to student families providing documentation of the lowest income rating.

Fees are charged monthly based on the chosen enrollment option. A registration fee is charged when enrollment forms are completed and again each year at registration. Scholarships are available to income-eligible student families for all programs.

All applications require a non-refundable fee of $40.

Registration Fee

When a child is either approved to enter the program or selected from a waiting list, parents will be asked to pick up a registration packet and schedule an intake interview. Following the completion of the intake interview, parents will be charged a non-refundable registration fee of $65 (includes costs for insurance, processing of forms and registration appointment), payable when the registration packet is picked up from the Center for Early Childhood Education.

All monthly fees are derived by calculating the total annual fee for service and dividing them into equal monthly payments. A contract will be issued based on the term of enrollment, either 11 or 12 months. Full monthly fees will be assessed each month of enrollment. Fees are not adjusted for holidays, partial months and other campus closures. Payroll deduction is required for payment of fees; if payroll deduction is not chosen, a first and last month will be required prior to first day of enrollment.
