CECE is open 12 months a year, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. All University holidays are observed, including Winter Break.

Closure Dates

The closure days may be required in order to cut costs and provide savings to the campus. Requests for fee adjustments will not be considered.

Note: CECE is Closed on all Campus Holidays.

Fees

Fees are collected each month based on the age of the child and whether the UCR-affiliated parent is a student, a staff member, a member of the faculty or a community member. Students may be eligible for subsidized infant, toddler or preschool program services during the academic year, depending on family income levels. Applications are reviewed each fall. Priority for subsidized services is given to student families providing documentation of the lowest income rating.

Fees are charged monthly based on the enrollment option chosen. A registration fee is charged at the time of completing enrollment forms and then again each year at registration. Subsidized services are available to income eligible student families for all programs except Kindergarten.

All applications require a non-refundable fee of $30.

Registration Fee

When a child is either approved to enter the program or selected from a waiting list, parents will be asked to pick up a registration packet and schedule an intake interview. Following the completion of the intake interview, parents will be charged a non-refundable registration fee of $50 (includes costs for insurance, processing of forms and registration appointment), payable when the registration packet is picked up from the Center for Early Childhood Education.

All monthly fees are derived by calculating the total annual fee for service and dividing them into equal monthly payments. A contract will be issued based on the term of enrollment, either 11 or 12 months. Full monthly fees will be assessed each month of enrollment. Fees are not adjusted for holidays, partial months and other campus closures. Payroll deduction is required for payment of fees; if payroll deduction is not chosen, a first and last month will be required prior to first day of enrollment.
