About Our Facility
The Center for Early Childhood Education has been a home away from home for Riverside families since 1996. Our original building was designed with floor-to-ceiling windows to connect classrooms with generous outdoor play areas, because we believe fresh air and room to move are just as important as what happens inside.
In 2009, we doubled our size with the addition of a second facility. In 2025, the South Center Playground got a complete refresh with brand-new, state-of-the-art equipment. And, in 2026, we opened new STEAM rooms that allow our young learners to explore new ideas with curiosity.
Today, CECE includes four infant and toddler classrooms, six preschool classrooms, and one kindergarten prep classroom. Each center is equipped with a teacher planning and curriculum room, parent observation rooms, a kitchen, laundry area and administrative offices — everything a thriving early childhood community needs.
Locations & Directions
CECE is located at 3333 Watkins Drive. There, we have two buildings: CECE North and CECE South.
- For visitors to CECE North: From Blaine Street, turn into the driveway for Parking Lot 27. Turn left at the first opportunity. Continue straight, and you will see a sign for Parking Lot 29. You can park in any space that is labeled "Parent." Press the door buzzer to request entry.
- For visitors to CECE South: From Blaine Street, turn south onto Watkins Drive. Turn right at the first opportunity. Turn right again into Parking Lot 28. You can park in any space that is labeled "Parent." Press the door buzzer to request entry.
