Big news from CECE! We've just opened our very first STEAM room — a dedicated space where children can explore science, technology, engineering, art and math through hands-on play. And we're not stopping there: a second STEAM room is already in the works.

A Space Built for Curious Minds

Walk into the new STEAM room, and you'll find children mixing colors to see what happens, stacking blocks to test what stands tall, sorting shapes by size and asking "why" about everything in sight. That's exactly the point.

Early exposure to STEAM concepts helps children build problem-solving skills, curiosity and confidence — all before they ever set foot in a science classroom. Our new room provides teachers with a dedicated space to lead these curiosity-inspiring activities every day, featuring materials designed specifically for exploration and discovery.

The room includes:

• Hands-on science stations for simple experiments and sensory exploration
• Building and engineering materials like blocks, ramps and simple machines
• Art supplies that connect creativity to STEM concepts
• Math manipulatives for counting, sorting and pattern-building

Why It Matters

Research consistently shows that the early years are a critical window for developing a love of learning. By weaving STEAM activities into everyday play, our teachers help children build the foundation for lifelong curiosity, while having a whole lot of fun along the way.

What's Next? A Second STEAM Room

We're excited to share that a second STEAM room is already in development. This expansion will allow even more classrooms to access dedicated STEAM programming throughout the week.
